white gas tank?

Where can I find a white gas tank like the one Greg Gee is running this year??

Not sure what he runs, but the 08 and 09 stock tanks have a white plastic over the tank (for the models with white plastic, of course). Clarke also is making a white oversized tank.

So is it a Black tank with a white cover over it or is a white molded tank like the years before?

The stock tank is black with white plastic cover. The Clarke is an actual white tank.

gee is just running the 08-09 hondas its just the tank cover that comes on those

you can fit it over other trx tanks but needs some trimming from what i understand. cover would be much cheaper than an aftermarket tank

that is the piece you are looking for .... all honda oem plastic for 450r has color codes... NH196 is a white tank cover for 08 up....

Just for info, ordered the white OEM cover and tried to get it to work over a 07. Will not work, I guess the '09 tank is different. If anyone has trimmed I would like to see because alot of trimming will have to be done and not for sure how solid it would be.

just letting you know so you dont spend money on a tank cover that will no work....

I've never done it, so I can't comment on what to trim. But I've seen it done, and it looked factory.

Please if anyone has done it let me know what you had to do or post some pics of your trim locations. From what I seen when I placed the cover on the bottom sides will have to be trimmed and maybe around the seat front latch so that the bolt holes will line up to the gas tank. Please let me know I have a pretty white tank cover with no home right now!!!

I thought it fit pretty good. You need to trim the 2 mounts on the bottom. I took the foam out from the insides and trimmed all the edges that were on the inside. I took about 1/4 of an inch off the bottom lip on both sides with a dremel and a cut off wheel. It fits good and snug. Also you don't have to cut the strap like peice that goes under the seat. I did but if I were you I would leave it atached.
