Camera people...help?

I am after a new camera. I'm no pro and only really use a camera for race meets, ebay things and general pics of mates and the missus....naked!!!

I have a budget of about £150 ($250) ish.

What do I get??

It has to fit in the missus handbag and be easy to operate.

My last camera was a Sony DSC-W50 and the pictures were quite poor quality and then my 2 year old wrecked the camara!!

This one shoots very good and has a high pixel count...only issue ive had is the rotery gurder..just upgrade to the 2.0
