So i just picked up a 04 400ex for 600 bucks it ran crappy but did run im doing a 416 big bore on it. when i tore into the top end i noticed that the cam surports (not he bearings but the channles between the bearings that the cam rides)n are preety wore out im gonna say that the previous owner didnt check the oil.my question is can i just smooth thesse out or do i need to find a new head and vavle cover so they dont tear up my new stage 2 hotcam has anyone ever seen this before and how have/would you resolved the issue
