hard starting please help

it was starting good after the rebuild until last week. now if its cold i have to turn the idle screw all the way up and no choke and it still turns over for a couple min befor it will start. just cleaned air filter and no help. mabe 3 tanks of gas since i refreshed the top end and adjusted valves. i had a cold plug in it so i put the stock num ngk back in and still the same

Re-check your valve clearances. I had the same problem. Had to do the same thing, turn my idle all the way up and still took forever to start. You pop start it, and run it and warm it up, and it'll start fine right?? You're gonna need to re-adjust your valves...

i did the valves lastnight and that fixed it. both the intakes were too tight. thanks for the help

that usually is how it goes.... a couple more times of that and they will need replaced....
