I just got my new shocks today and need to know if the metal rings in the pic below are normal. They move freely and it just doesn't look right. Sorry about the MS Paint drawing. Please let me know what these are.

If you are talking about what I think you are then they are good.
They stop the spring from coil binding. They will rattle some, but that is normal. They also control spring rates. Leave them alone!

on my PEP's they are called cross over rings, the more u have the more still tat spring will be the less the softer it will be.

THey also inhibit the amount of travel your springs will have. Thus making them have pro's and con's

they rattle like crazy at low rpm's, it gets really annoying
