400EX Turn off with water splash

Hi
I have 400Ex 99 and when I enter into the water the machine turn off. I find that the problems is when the water contact with spark coil. Some people said me that use jet ski spark coil but exist many jet ski coil somebody can help me?

pfft, why can't people understand that you can't just go through water with any vehicle, you need to waterproof the spark plug coil in some way and also seal up the airbox very tight.

does it shut off and not turn over again or shut off and turn right over? You might have a bare wire that's getting wet. I had the same problem, I found a bare wire going to my starter solenoid, taped it up and haven't had a problem since.

When mine did that it was because the the threads where loose on the FCR carb. Basically a carb leak on the intake side... water & gas don't mix well.

Dielectric grease on the boot and around it.
