I kind of feel like an idiot, but how the heck do you remove the rear sprocket hub? I know there is a locking ring similar to the anti-fade nut, but do you have to press the hub off in the opposite direction or somehow remove the ring first?

I've tried heating, pb blaster, dead blow mallet...it's giving me fits, and I'm really trying to avoid sinking money into a bunch of new parts back there right now.

Thanks!

I think you have to press it off. I know on my axle it has to be pressed on/off.

Thanks for the reply. Am I correct in assuming you press it away from the lock ring; towards the center of the axle?

That is correct. Then you can remove the lock ring, and press it
off the opposite direction, towards the outside. Good luck. :D
