RIP.

Yea I saw this on the news. I was going to go up there today too. On the news they said he landed on his head and then got run over. I can't imagine how bad the guy who ran him over feels right now.

hate to say it but its racing and it does happen. the person who ran the other over needs to know this, my prayers go out to both families and friends.

i was gonna go out there this weekend...glad i didnt.:(
This is terrible news for them, two years ago a guy died during a harescramble there. The track owners are really good people too. Very sad and terrible blow to the sport in this area.

Why are they calling it a 'stunt' on the news???

True that! when I raced harescrambles on mini's they would run the mini bikes and quads at the same time.. I was riding in the whoop section and a kid on a dirtbike had fell down in front of me, had no time to go anywhere and ended up running over the kids legs, heard him yell a few choice words lol..

Not much you can do, I've had to jump up and ride on the front of someones quad a couple time, its racin :p

I was told he never knew what hit him and thats the best way to go. Guess he hit a double and went over the bars and landed on his neck. I know my buddies pretty shakin up over it as he watched the whole thing.

wow. what a shame. and being 30 something, most likely had family and or kids. its a shame. god speed friend. prayers are being sent your way.

and to answer someones question about why the news called it a "stunt" thats cause news and media persons dont understand or care to understand this and alot of other sports. gotta remember, these people live in there own little world and think people that ride these "all terrain vehicle" are just drunk crazy people who wear no helmets and fly around town tearing up peoples lawns and making a butt load of noise. cause a few bad apples always ruins the bunch.:grr:

My 9 yr old son wrecked on the doubles in front of the grandstands last week. We thought he broke his neck. He got knocked out for a while and just laid there. Luckly, he just got a little road rash. Thank God for safety gear! We now have an EVS neck collar for him to wear. We were so shocked that he cleared both doubles but his front wheel was turned when he landed the second set of doubles. He didn't yet have the EVS brace when he wrecked. He will wear it every time he races now. This was only his 2nd race in his life.

that section is slightly intimidating. they r close together and the jumps are basically peaks with flat ground in between. i am on it pretty good in 3rd gear on my rmz250 thru there. you can def get hurt if you mess up in that section. im glad ur son didnt get hurt badly tho.
