400ex shocks on a trx 250r

Will stock 400ex shocks fit on a 86 TRX 250R?

i think i read in dirtwheels that the only interchangeable a-arms on hondas are with the 300 and 400 ex's

the 400's will make the front set higher cause they don't sag as much.anyways,the 250's are better

My Works shocks came off a 250R. I never matched them up to see if they are the same length.

i have a 250r86 and a 400ex and i think that the shock will fit, there approximatly the same lenght, i never try it but even if it's not the same length, the difference will be very small.

The 400ex shocks are about a 1/2 inch longer
than the 250r shocks. I believe they will fit
but it will change the geometry on the quad
and you will need to adjust your camber and
caster.
