truck exhaust

I have a dodge ram 1500 and im stuck between the flomaster super 44 muffler or the cherry bomb extreme. what are your guys opinion?

its a 96 1500 5.9. 4 in lift. 35's I love it haha. It has an xcelerator muffler now but i want louder.

Yeah i personally have never heard the 40 or 44. I just was lookin at the 44. Damn but the cherry bombs sound awesome too from the vids i have seen on youtube. I bought the truck with a 4in suspension lift. And thanks man.

My dad has flowmasters on his truck and it sounds pretty good but I like Magnaflow better. My opinion, and what I have on my truck, go with 3" exhaust all the way back and a Magnaflow (can't remember model)

Then again the CAT could make all the difference. My dad's truck has to have a CAT to pass emissions, but since mine's a '70 I don't.

dude, i put a flowmaster 40 series on my truck and it instantly sounded better. if you want i have an extra ill sell for $50. i bought 2 at the same time and this one just sits

u need to find videos of that truck with the exhaust, not just random trucks. all trucks sound different.

on my 4.6 i would go with magnaflow, however if i had a 5.4 or a 5.3 chevy i would go with flowmaster.

My truck sounds similar to that but mine is quite a bit deeper in tone. Could be the camera though. :ermm:

We just got a 09 Chevy Silverado 1500(i wanted bigger :( ) and I would love to get my parents to buy this haha. We are taking it to get a spray on bedliner and windows tinted so while we are there maybe I can convince em into getting something like this. How much do exhausts usually cost? And does the exhaust take away any power or towing abilities? Cuz thats why we cant have 35 inch tires with big rims or a lift kit lol, so I guess an exhaust is the next best thing. It actually sounds pretty good right now but only when you gas it, I want that sound all the time lol.

Oh and for the prices Im talking about flowmasters(thats the only brand I know lol). Btw my truck is 5.7 liters I think if that matters?
Idk much about trucks but it would still be cool to hve a nice one.

most places will do straights off the cat for like 120 bucks.

and you could run a mild lift with tires and still tow fine;)

do what i did to my nova, put a 5in electric butterfly valve off the headers aiming behind the front wheels and have your primary exhaust y-off to where it goes that way if you want to be a douch like me and annoy people just flip the switch but if you want to run your straights or whatever you got you can:D

I'm a dealer for http://www.aeroexhaust.com/ go on the site and listen to sound clips. These are some of the best sounds mufflers I've ever heard and the are loud. I run a SINGLE 3'' on my Ram and it's louder and has a better tone than any dual system I've heard.

I went threw all this when I was looking for a exhaust for my dodge dakota(5.2 v8) I must of read about 10 different makes and models. I had it narrowed down to flowmaster and magnaflow. They said if you want a kinda raspy sound to go with flowmasters if you want a deeper tone go with magnaflow. I went with magnaflow and am very happy It could be a bit louder but I still have the stock cat and I know If I went with a high flow one it would be 100% perfect for me.
Ive read about a couple of guys having AERO-TURBINE on their 5.2's and 5.9's and they love them. Its up to and you and what kind of sound your looking for search youtube and see what you find and If you want Ill get a vid of my dak for you.
