Theft-Recovery Title

how much does a theft-recovery title discourage buyers? i found a 06 cbr1000rr for sale for 5400 and it has 800 miles, but also has a theft recovery title. the guy bought it from the insurance company a week ago and is trying to sell it cause he has an 05 1000rr. i see them for sale for $7500 all day and thats with 10,000 miles, but thats with a clean title.

could i turn it around for more than 5400?

i wouldn't try to flip that. around here theft/salvage titles are like a disease, nobody wants em. thats a good deal on the bike but its for someone who is looking to buy a bike and kee it, not turn it around for cash.

Agreed, anything thats not "clean" title tends to scare folks away....... Like the others said if you were planning on keeping the bike it wouldnt be a bad deal, but unless its clean title I think you'd have a hard time flipping it.

I bought a truck a few years ago that had a branded title ... biggest POS I ever owned. I did however get back what I paid for it when I sold it.
