has anybody used a sparks timing key with a 440?is it posible without having the overheating problems

From my experience, the +6 key is too much. I cut the stock key to a +4 advance and it worked great. The engine responded very well to the added timing.

I don't have any overheating issues. The SPAL fan and E85 help keep her cool.

I put the stock key in a milling machine and cut a .030 offset into it.

If you're interested, I have 2 more +4's available that I've made with a new flywheel puller included.
