Has anyone ever done performance modifications with them? I'm curious about their knowledge of EX's...

Talk to Beerock. They do all his engines and he swears by them. I geuss they make some killer 400ex kits.

I have with my 400ex. Butch bored my cylinder for the 416, put new valve seals in, etc.

I definetly recommend his work.

I don't know what other modifications you are looking for him to do, but he is definetly into quads!

Cool. I'm scheduled for a 440 11:1, cam and porting by B&B on Monday. Ex'r, did he use new or hardened rockers with your cam?

Awesome let us know how bad you eat those Z400's. You should have it bored to a 425 then stroked to a 465. lol. Then they would really be wanting to know what you have done....

your gettin the kit a caboodle job, thats the job that will rip the sparks motor apart.


don't quote me on this but there 440 kit is 1,800

thats with a piston, port work, cam, larger valves?
I know it uses a white bros header pipe and muffle (included in the kit) so you must have gotten a lower price since you dont need the exhaust.

Do you have the header pipe as well maryland?


what price did they give you?

Beerock: Butch at B&B asked me what type of riding I'd be doing and I told him 80% trail/woods riding and 20% top end war. He then told me that he doesn't quote HP figures but I'd gain 9 to 11 HP with his 440, cam and piston which should put me at 40HP with the X-6 Pipe and 39MM FCR. He said that the 39FCR was problematic and that they didn't use them but I like it so I'm staying with it. He also said that he didn't use new rockers with the new cam and I feel that is questionable. I hope B&B can work magic on this old motor cause I'm going to war real soon. I really want to buy a used stroker but time's wastin' so I gotta head to Delaware for some much needed oomph.
