lol it was only an hour!

anyways, you should have enough carrier adjustment to get a 16t on there; with my 14t on a stock length chain, i have the carrier adjusted damnear all the way back... i'd try it.

I run 14, 15 or 16 depending on where I am riding. You do not need a new chain.

yup, if the chain is older chances are itll be stretch a little. your going up a tooth its not a huge increase. you should be fine.

what is a good reliable chain to use, i know there are the big name brands but i just rebuilt my quad and decided it was time for a new chain, but im looking for a decent priced chain that will last everything i have to throw at it

Well you can go a couple dif. ways. Supposidly o-ring chains rob HP. But an o=ring chain will last longer but will cost more. Or you can go with a reg. chain and just have to replace it more often but its cheaper. I personally like my $100 renthal o-ring chain. I have had it since the bike was built and it has barely stretched. I can still run a 14t sprocket on the front with stock length. That said, there is nothing wrong with buying a $20 chain. I know plenty of people who do this. Especially if they ride in sand alot. What ever you buy, keep it clean and well lubed. And you don't have to buy expensive chain lube, just use WD 40. It will clean it, keep rust off and lube it all at once.
