I also use the Gunk Engine Brite. Takes care of almost all the crud on the motor without runing the surfaces.

Yup Gunk Foamy has always worked well for me too. The regular stuff kinda sux and they have a new gel that looked pretty good but was couple bucks more a can. Also I believe simple green works pretty well.

I have had good luck with castrol super clean once apon a time. i havent really used anything but daveys now for a while that works great but only comes in a 55 gallon drum from the company. the castrol is by the gallon at any store. I may have to try the gunk and see how it works. steve

I've used the Gunk stuff before, but it has to be the original. The original works the best for me, and seems to not be a whole lot more than an aerosol can of diesel fuel.

What I've found that works better, is Gumout STEAM CLEAN. Not sure what kind of chemical it is, but I like it the best- it doesn't smell like a petroleum product, but it seems to last longer and do more with less.

For a non-aerosol product, diluted Castrol Super Clean works well.

purple power or castrol super clean is the stuff, i sprayed it on v8s with baked on grease and oil and it starts to melt it off instantly, it pulls stains out of plastics too without dulling it down. i dillute it way down too, like a cup cleaner to a half gallon spray bottle and fill it with water (HOT water works best for grease)
