Just curious who all got suckered into this. I know my 07 400ex that I just bought had a 1 year from the factory, but I got convinced to get the extra 4 years for $800 while I was in there. Not knowin anything about them I went with it. Now I realized that I can't do ANYTHING to the motor with this stupid warranty and have to go through all the trouble of driving 100 miles to the dealer to cancel it.

Anyone else get suckered in and have to deal with cancelling it?

Nope I said no thank you for my 08 it was 750 for the extended warranty.

I didnt even use the 1 year warranty for the fact I wasnt giving them $80 for the first service and to adjust the valve's bull crap cost me $20 for the stuff to do the same.

Yea these bikes are so easy to work on its really not needed. I been working on my own bikes for years. In the past all was needed was a good clymers and a set of tools and few buddies to answer questions. Now we got the net things are so much easier to figure out.

i got the one year for free.
if your motor blows up while it is under warranty, they will not cover it. due to it being rider error regardless, without even asking what happened.
i learned it the hard way :scary:

I had one with mine new but i did not pay what you guys are, mine was 350 for the extra 3.5 years. I got a ton of service out of that, bearings, a rear shock, and a bunch of other small stuff that i could do myself if i did not have it. the shock is what made the difference, it paid for my whole warranty plus more. if it was over 400 i would not do it. steve

I just got back from driving the distance to go cancel my warranty. That took a ton off of the payoff! Now the modding can really begin

I know they are cheap on ebay. back 5 years ago they werent so easy to come across. It was brand new shock too. I made sure it was paid for just in the bearings they put in my carrier a couple of times and the rings and valve seals they did. steve
