ok my friend just bought a 2004 ltz400 from this guy. the quad has blackrims which i thought were after market but the guy actually painted them. I was wondering how to paint the my stock rims? thanks

get them powder coated, thats the only way the paint will last on them

i dont and probably will never have the money to do that. is there a cheaper way??

just give them a quick sand, and take the spray paint to them, wont hold up, but you can always touch them up every now and then.

If you sand, paint, paint, clear coat. It lasts for a while, but with a power washer mine finally broke paint free after two years.

do truck bed liner. i did it to my jeep wheels and damn is that stuff hard to chip

I just did some with the bedliner last week. It worked great. Sand them with a red 3m pad, then wipe them with paint thinner and a white paper towell until the towell is clean. Then spray away. I used about 3/4 of a can on two wheels. I did the back ones in the pic to match the fronts.
