I was kinda wondering what pipe to go for. I know there are waaaaaay better pipes than my FMF pipe i'm running with right now.

If I had a CT motor, I might would call them and see what they have to offer. I've talked to a couple of guys there before and they seemed to be really helpful.

Sparks big bore, or Sparks TT. Good luck finding one though.

I've had good results using ESR pipes on my motors. An ESR 5 pipe beat my Sparks TT pipe by 5 HP on the same motor, same day, same dyno.

i dont know about you but i care more about my Tq then my HP... the Tq is what makes the motor pull....

i would talk with the ol boy at LED performance.... they got new BBpipes.. i have a LRD BB but i'm only running a 300...

I'd go with an out of frame drag pipe. What type of riding do you do? You really can't go wrong with ESR, other than an out of frame pipe. My dyno has the ESR pipes to be some of the best as well. An extra 5 hp will have about 3 extra ft-lbs of torque depending on where the rpms peaked.

Well, here's the dyno chart showing the Sparks TT pipe vs. the ESR 5 pipe:

The ESR 5 beat it in the TQ department too. I, too, am a fan of TQ.

RUN 022 is the ESR 5; RUN 011 is the Sparks TT.

Sorry 'bout gettin this thread off track.

Regarding what pipe you go with depends largely on what you are doing with the quad, as well as how the motor is setup. Port timings play a significant roll in how a pipe responds, as I have personally found out myself on the dyno with my own motors.

Some pipes like low port timings, some like more aggressive port timings.

If you have a motor setup by CT, then it is possible that the CT pipe would work best on your motor.

I have seen ESR pipes perform well on different motors however. On my own motors, they've worked best so far.

Rog

I hate to say it. but I have rode 2 quads with FMF pipes that put most name brand pipes on motors to shame. one was a 295 and the other was on a 265. u just have to make the motor match the pipe. these were MX motors too. one was runnin YZ piston and a bunch of stuff like that too

the motor builder makes a pipe for the motor they build. if you don't go to the dyno with all your pipes buy the one they tell you too

porting as mentioned, the most important thing to get that motor running it's best, but don't forget what you are using the beast for and where you like the power. but porting is the#1 important factor
