just picked up an 87 250r and i need the rebuild the ear swingarm/carrier....there is some play in it. also, the axle locking nut just spins...not being held in at all....but the axle stays. i think i am missing the snap ring after the lock nut.

its a dura blue +2+4 axle in a stock swinger. if i buy a new carrier with twin row bearings installed, is there anything else i need? seals? rings? also, i am thinking of picking up a new lock nut...which one should i look into, looking for bang for the buck...

i just want to order everything at once and not be missing parts.

thanks

Yeah, that's the way to go - completely new carrier. They sell on ebay for $125 - new bearings for the old one cost $65.

They come complete, all you have to do id install your axle.

Bang for the buck is probably the RAD axle nut, I think there are place that you can get one free if you buy a carrier - on ebay. They are usually $25 and they work decent. I have had 2 of them.
