Here is a picture of the cylinder with the piston stuck in it with the connecting rod snapped off. You should of seen the front cases and all the pieces of all over the bottomend WOW!!. You should seen the poor kids face when I told him how much it was gonna cost to fix it:( :(
Hate to say this but this is what keeps me in business. Over Revving it constantly is what causes this and poor maintenance.

NAZ450r You said" hot rod stroker crank very bad". Did you use the stock compression piston with it when you installed it in your bike? Cuz right on the outside of the Hot Rod Stroker Crank box it says " We do not recommended High compression pistons to be used with this crankshaft, OEM pistons can be used." And I was wondering if you knew that? And your motor builder if you didnt install it told you that you could install a larger compression piston with the hot rod crank. I was just wondering because I have installed over 10 of these in and I would void any warranty of my work done to their machine if the customer wanted anything other then OEM compression pistons. And over half of them wanted larger compression pistons and I wouldnt install them if they refused to go ahead with the larger compression piston. So far not one of them has had a problem. And its been up to three years since I have installed some of them and are still running strong.
I was just curious and was trying to figure out what happened to your engine. Cuz some parts are not suppose to go with each other and ya have to match them up right.

rite now off the top of my head i cant remember wat compression i had in it but it was close to stock but it was a weisco piston i think it was like 11:1 or something close but like i said cant remember fo sho

hello NAZ450r again. I see that you said you think it was a wiseco piston and you think the compression was 11:1. I know that wiseco makes a 10:5:1 whick is your oem compression piston , a 11:5:1, and a 13:1 piston for the 2005 with the standard bore. And maybe if it was a JE piston they dont offer a 10:5:1 stock compression piston. Je pistons start out at 11:5:1. If you used a 11:5:1 piston this is what caused your engine to go. And I dont like saying it but who ever built the motor should of known that the stroker crank should only be used with a stock oem compression piston. So I just wanted to let you know this.

it was a weisco 10:5:1 and now i just got a regular crank wit a weisco 13:1:1 piston

Does an aftermarket CDI Box cause this? Or just poor riding technique? And also.. When you cut the green wire on the ER's, AND add a rev box, does it add up to 2000 rpm increase, or stay with the original 1000rpm increase? I hear mixed emotions about this topic.. I have an 06 ER with my green wire cut, Been rippin for almost 3 yeaRS now and no problem. Am I going to be taking a risk by installing an aftermarket CDI box?
