400ex to ???

hey i was thinking about doing a motor swap on my ex it lacks a bit of power and heres what i wanna know what is the cheapest motor that i can put in my ex under a grand or a lil bit over here are my ideas but i also wanna know how dificult it is gonna be

here are the list of motors that may be a consideration
cr500
cr250(is not enough power? to go faster than the ex)
yz426
crf(maybe if cheap)

trx250r motor is a better idea than a cr250r motor. heres what i did so far. (more has been done but haven't posted new pics)

want a 2 stroke bad cause most the time you just melt a piston 4 strokes way more complicated loved my bikes want to make my qaus just like my old ktm fast light and smooth

400ex=27 hp..........250r= 37 hp

hmm ive done alot of resaearch on the cr500 and do you think if i put ruber bushings in between the mount and the motor and send the frame off to get counter balanced will stop the frame from craking oh yeah and i f i gusstet the frame to

you don't "counter balance" a frame. you counterballance a motor.

with a cr500 engine you would definiyly have to gusset and reinforce the frame.
