I was wondering how well the PRM bumpers hold up to trail abuse, mainly the BAJA bumper. I usually run the AC with mudscreen, but i'd like to move to a wider front bumper for better trail debris deflection. Thanks in advance.

I ran a PRM Desert on my 300ex and loved it, I beat the chit outta the thing and the only dent I put in it was alittle one the size of a fingernail (or smaller) and I cant even remember how it happend.. plus it looks good polished up sometimes. Im thinking the PRM Baja will be the bumper I'll run on 400 :p

dont let ur friend on a z400 run in to you with his stock bumper. my friend bent mine to he!!. its sucks cuz it didnt even hurt his bumper it jus put some aluminum on the metal. oh well i wish ida least got hit by another honda....

PRM stuff is tough as nails, and the fit & finish is great. I have the baja bumper, engine skid, and swingarm skid...A-arm skids on the way soon!

I've got the desert bumper on mine, and I love it. Go to PRM's site, they have a pic of a 400 with all their products on them. The baja and desert bumpers both go for $84.95 through PRM.

which one do you think is better and looks better the prm baja or ac with the mud screen on a 400?

Its a matter of preference I guess. Some people like the looks of the AC, others don't. I haven't heard bad things about either one though. I've got the desert, and it is made from a little beefier tubing than the baja bumper. I haven't had to put it to the test yet, but it looks like it can take a beating.

Thanks for the replies fella's. I believe I will go with the PRM Baja bumper. Looks like a stout unit, and wide thankfully. Like I said before, I've always run AC w/ mudcreen but its not a very big bumper. Anyways, thanks guys!!

I was thinking the same thing. The one on mine has a cover over the rear shock linlkage and deff says PRM on it.

Notice how the prm bumper on the z-400 and 400ex look alike?

They all look alike, a baja bumper is a baja bumper, a desert bumper is a desert bumper, no matter what model its for.

I got my PRM swing arm skid plate from a good friend of mine and he had the lowering strut on his bike that i got on mine now and he had to cut the skidplate out a little for the lowering strut to clear. he may have cut just a little more than needed but it all still works fine. that is why mine looks a little different than yours. hope this sums it all up
