so i lost the key to my street bike "2004 R6" last summer. been pretty busy so its just been in the garage chillin till about march of this year. im not the original owner so i dont have all the key codes that you get at the intital purchase to get a key made so i had a locksmith come to my house "only person in town to do it" and he tryed for about a hour to make a key i thought he was kind of sloppy when he broke off a key in the ignition and was being pretty rough on everything but im no locksmith and these guys were recomended by a local bike shop. so he never could make the key so the bike just set for another couple months and i finally trailered it to another locksmith and he calls me a couple hours later saying the tumblers in the lock are broke and a key cant be made. now im thinking did the guy i had come out before screw up the ignition because this 50 dollar key just turned into a brand new 400 dollar ignition with labor. anyone have any knowledge on locks? is their any chance it could have been screwed up before that guy got into it? since the last time i put the key in the ignition it worked fine and he was the only person to touch it. im not real sure how i should approach the shop with the call ending in my favor.

Crap, link didn't work, but just search r6 key, and I found a new switch and key setup for $50.
