Whats the difference between a Lifan 140 that has a silver cylinder, and head, OR one that is completley black.....Any diff???

I think the gearing is different. The silver one is N-1-2-3-4 up while the black one is 1-N-2-3-4. I was told to stay away from the 1-N-2-3-4 as they have tranny issues because of the shift sequence. Why not just get the 150? I'll post a vid of Jam getting the feel for the new motor with the new exhaust. For a stock setup this thing is very nice :cool: .

i thought i seen a post some where that the 140lifan was really a 128. not sure on this, sorry if i confused people.

No I have both and they are both n-1-2-3-4 up shifting, and they are both 140's, I THINK the 1-n-2-3-4 shifter's are smaller cc's 138 or so.

the true lifan 140 has a cast iron cylinder and oil taps on the bottom of the motor for oil cooler
its 56 bore x 59 stroke
very torquey and can be reliable
