ok so this weekend i bought a sparks 14:1 piston. i thought it would be great. i picked up a dirt wheels my dad had and it had a section about josh creamer on his KFX450r and cooling issuses. it said that since he runs the pro class(or any real race machine) they run really high compression pistons and its really hard to keep the heat down. and they have to even but bigger and better radiator and hoses and everythin. so anyways back to me. so i figure a 14:1 piston is pretty damn high compression. i was think if the liquad cooled 450s have problems with being a high temperature then wouldnt my air cooled 300 be like SUPER HIGH TEMPERATURE. will this piston be good and will it work? i race in the NEATV in the youth 200/300c class and want to run storng. i also order hardened rocker arms and everything else you need and will be running 110 race gas

if any one gets what i mean with temerature issuses please help

Damn thats alot of compression on an air cooled motor. I wouldn't suggest going over 12 maybe 12.5:1. but if you still want to do it I would defenitely add a big oil cooler and put a fan on it. I had a 400ex had had high comp piston and i had a larger cooler and fan from a sportbike. Oh and hopefully your starter will still turn the motor over and not burn up lol.

THERE IS NO HEAT PROBLEM WITH 14:1 PISTONS lol.

300ex's cool INCREDABLY well for an aircooled bike. if the bike is jetted right there is no problem with that much compression.

Why are you building the bike so big in C class?

honestly im doin it cuase if i can keep up with my training i want the bike to run well and then next year i can put a little more and run with the b class pretty well. i got the sparks national mx kit other then the pipe and carb

any body got any more advice fro parts to put on it?
i got sparks national mx kit with out pipe and carb, got dg head pipe with hmf slip on, jb shock relocator with fox float r, elka rear shock, 400 ex swingarm, maxxis razrs mx tires all around 20 in front with 18 in the rear, renthal bars, pro design thether, dg bumber(soon to be ac racing bumber) 400ex arms so it measures at 44 inches wide( dont mention get wider a arms cuase right now i dont got the money form them, thanks) rear spacers at 2.5".
