how do i find the year on my 300

i just bought a 300 from someone in missouri and i live in maine and i got it shipped to me however i forgot to ask for the year. its runs great and everything but i dont know the year. ifigured its somewhere oon the vin but im not sure which number or whatever can someone help me out

there should be a black sticker on the steering stem that will tell you the year and the vin #

well its got maier race plastic on it and the frame and everything is powder coated silver vein even the steering stem so how else can i find it i didnt get a owners manual either i figured somewhere on the vin is the year

are you sure its not stolen? why don't you just ask the guy you bought it from?

well he said he didnt quite know exactly. and ya im sure its not stolen cuase he previously had it registered and you need the bill of sale to register it. but on the bill of sale they gave me it doesnt state what year either

theres a little plate with the vin stamped into the frame behind the front bumper on top

ya i know that i got the vin# i just dont know which numbers are the year

well i found out the frame is a 95 which kinda blows cuase i wanted a newer one but o well. well the guy had two frames so im not sure if the engine is a 95 also or if the other frame was newer or what not. can anyone tell the difference over the years of the 300's
