If you can dont get one already bored because not every 416 piston is the exact same size. They could vary several thousandths which is a lot when you are talking about piston to cylinder clearance.

i went through the exact same thing. i eventually found a cylinder that came with a new 87mm 11:1 piston kit for 137.

you can also look for a xr400 cylinder on ebay. Same thing but maybe you can find one cheaper.

you do know a machine shop can fix this problem, i know because my father in law owns a machine shop and he fixed this same problem for me. I dont know what he actually did, but it didnt take him but about an hour to get the tap out i broke and used one of his "expensive" taps and finished my job for me. luckly for me it didnt cost me a dime.

ouch man... haha just remembered the other day at work i broke a brass air fitting off in an air dryer, brand new truck 2010 kenworth t-660, i tried to pull it with my extractor and broke the bit. first time i've ever heard of breakin one in brass, normally just spin out.. but warranty got to pay for the 800$ dryer and my labor..

when mine broke, they said there was no way it was coming out, and in all reality, it was a lot cheaper to just get a used cylinder off of ebay than it would have to pay for the labor if another place could get it out.
