What's the best way to remove these without leaving all the sticky part behind or ruining the underneath?

Won't all these completely ruin the finish underneath?

WD-40 works well to take off sticky residue and wont harm the finish.

I have been using brake cleaner for years now with no bad results. We use it to clean plastics before putting graphic kits on too.

Goo-gone or brake cleaner, then get a razor blade it scrapes right off

Don't use Goo-Gone spray gel.

It will ruin the plastics... totally dulls the finish.
