Hey Guys,

I purchased a Q silencer for my 89r from rockymountainatv, but the total distance between the silencer bracket mounts are about 1 1/2 inches shorter than the distance between the screw holes on my frame. Looks like I have to send it back...

Any one else have this problem?

i dont know that exaust off hand but maybe there was suppose to be an exhaust hanger or some type of bracket that didnt get stuck in the package with it?

Yeah, that was exactly my thought and I called FMF about it. They said it should mount right up to the frame. I actually ordered a second Q silencer from rockymountain hoping that the first was a one time error, but both need to go back.

Hoping someone with a Q can provide some input...

I'll do that and post after the weekend. I just trailered up the quad for a ride.

Correct. I have a fmf turbine core silencer. The silencer itself does not bolt to the frame. Both mounts need the stock mounts from the stock silencer. (Or something similar. I think my front one is from some motorcyle, it was on there when i bought the quad.)

Hope that helps.

crap, that sucks. my esr silencer bolted right to the frame and the rep at fmf told me no hangers, etc. were needed. I guess he was wrong.

Thanks for the info, guys. I'll be searching ebay for the hardware. Let me know if anyone has the stock hanger that I can purchase from...
