ok my friend has a 04 400ex and it has a crack on his rear brake caliper. its not the acutally caliper its the piece that next to it on the left (i think its the parking brake part). can he buy a new one for cheap of can u fix it. as of right now he has no rear brakes

If it's just the parking brake, eliminate it with a block off kit.

I second that! E-brakes are worthless. They don't even work.

ya i know no1 E-brake works. Whats a block off kit? Can u just unbolt the e-brake part and take it off?(i used to own a 400ex but i never had this problem)

Here is one. There are actually cheaper ones for like $8-9 but just to give you an idea. This was the quickest one I could find. Its pretty much a 1/2-3/4 inch plate that blocks the hole from removing your parking brake. Then you can remove the line associated with it and even get a new clutch lever that you will find very nice also.

ok so buying this would remove he piece that is cracked and you just bolt this piece on. am i right?
