I race flattrack/tt. I am looking at buying the Duro tires, the Hoosiers are getting so expensive at 100 bucks. Justa question on how to grove the Duro's. Good patterns? and does anyone know where i can get one? I know that the Duro's bite good when they get hot and sticky put there compound makes it to where it takes a while for them to get hot, so i would probbably be looking to have a really nice bite, help on all of this would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

like you were saying the compound is very hard.. the sidewall is extremely stiff and they are really heavy.. not sure what would be the best for grooving on them but i'd sipe them like crazy to try to get heat and run nitrogen to minimize pressure build up from trying to get all that heat in there.. the last pair of hoosiers i bought were 83 a piece.. you might look into buying hoosier fronts off a micro sprint their a 60x7.0x10 but they work and you can get them pretty cheap used from local tracks...

I can get hoosiers kinda cheap about 75 a piece through a sponsor, but they don't really hold up but 3-4 races, even the 15 compound..

Thats why i was looking at Duro i can get them really cheap too, like 35 a tire through a sponsor also, and they are said to last longer..

The Nitrogen is a good idea i may think of that, but they will be on my Hi-pers, which already weight slim-to-none. So idk, i was really just curious about them, but thanks for your help.
