Well, its smoking pretty bad now so it looks like im gonna be tearing it back down. I did ride for about 10 minutes with no smoking but when it got hot, it smoked worse and worse. It doenst even feel like the same motor. It has so much more mid and top compared to stock. The throttle response is awesome. It revs extremely fast. I also gained some low end. Not as much gain as the mid and top though. I really want to race my neighbors. Then i will really tell how much power I gained. Too bad I gotta tear it down. I was hoping that it was just valve seats or guides but it is smoking when it gets hot. It doesnt smoke at all when it is cold. Sounds like rings to me, what about yall??? Man i dont wanna tear it down. Its running so good. Anybody thinkin about getting a ross piston and hotcam 2, do it. Its awesome. Thanks, Ant.

Its buring oil and I have too see why. Its gonna be hard takin it down cuz its running so good. man man man.

I cranked it up, rode it around my yard for about 20 min at about 1/2 throttle, then let it cool down. I did this about 4 time. I made sure it was broken in before I tried it out. It puts out a puff of smoke every time you give it gas. Just a puff, if you hold the gas, it stops. It will idle all day with out smoking at all but once you give it gas, there comes the smoke. What color of smoke. It could just be that the main is too rich.

Some of it is black so it is a little rich but a lot of it is blue. Im going to go down to a 165 tomorrow. Im hoping it is just the valve seats. Im going to give it til this weekend to see if the rings just need to seat, doubt it but worth a shot. If it is still smoking, its coming back down this weekend. Thanks, Ant

i bet it's just rich. try it with a leaner main jet.

mine smokes for about 3 minutes when it's cold, then it goes away. it's deffinetly blue.
