What happened to the "E"

Ive been wondering for a while why honda dropped the E in there sport quad line

i read about it a year or two ago but never fully understood why?
the only thing i could think that would be cool about it would be that it would bring back the 250X

but going from 400EX to 400X, its just not the same
i think that 700EX would have sounded better too

anyone know anything?:confused:

read in atv action the e was droped because it was for electric start and being that the ex was electric start they didnt need it anymore.

Hes referring to the name of the quad. 400ex, is not called 400ex anymore.. it is 400x. And he wants to know why Honda dropped the E.
