24mm keihin carb installed on koso intake and no matter how tight I clamp it, it falls off. There is no receiver groove in the rubber intake boot to fit into the carb. Do I have the wrong intake boot?

Yes you have the 28 to 30 carb boot. you need the 24 intake boot. Good luck Maximum RPm sells them call Justin www.Maximumrpm.com

No, it is the correct size. It just doesn't seem like much to clamp to on the nose of the carb without the raised rubber ring inside the rubber boot.

put wire ties around it

Had the incorrect boot with no ring inside to fit into the groove..New one should solve the problem..
