help with spindles

i currently am running stock 86 componets, so if i would buy 400ex spindles, could i use my 86 hubs and calipers? what about 450r? I need a really cheap way to lose some weight on the front to compensate for the gain in the a arms. Does anyone have a sweet deal they could give me on some ex spindles?

Your 86 hubs and calipers will not fit the 400ex spindles...88-89 hubs and rotors will work on 400ex spindles but you will need to run 400ex calipers or get 250r caliper adaptors. I just sold a mint set of 400ex spindles...I still have a nice set of 400ex calipers that I will sell for cheap.($40 + shipping)
