heres a mod me and my buddy (HmfDS450) discovered on his quad (DS450X) for those of you who would want a UNI filter for better flow, and more airbox space and better protection than a K&N filter. i recently sold my LT-R for to buy a YFZ and had a few Pro Design / UNI filters left and sure enough they clamped right on. we are still going to have to test this out a bit more, but if you have a bro with either a UNI/KN/ PD filter or the velocity set up it will work on the DS... enough to get by. we'll let you know how well it works out in a bit.

details are back sorta, minus an oil leak and coughing oil into the box hindering our testing, even before the filter mod, so it was quite hard to feel a difference between the stock filter /w/ outerware, Velocity filter /w/ outerware and the LT-R PD/Uni filter.
