even if i ride it just a short amount of time...my exhaust gets scorching hot...and my fan kicks on right away when i ride, basically...it only takes about 2 minutes for the engine to get real hot and for the fan to kick on. any possibilities on what this may be?

Really lean jetting would be my first guess

that is vary odd, becsaue back when i didnt have my fan hard wired to always run, my fan would never kick on. i couldnt over heat my bike if i tried. have you checked the anti freeze?

it could possible be the jetting but that sounds weird for the bike to be fine then all the sudden it start to over heat in less then 2 minutes, thats fishy

btw. how much you want for your blaster. pm me if you dont wana get off subject in this thread.

check the hot start plunger is still in the carb, if you have one. and check the seals around the carb.

would that cause a bike to over heat? i've had mine come off plenty of times?

i was wondering this to.
i have an hmf pipe and gets hot real quick and so does the motor. but the fan never goes on. i also ride in around 75-115 degree weather

Check your coolant level. If it's low it could cause the motor to over-heat with all that air in there.

Aftermarket exhaust tends to get hotter, quicker because it's made of different materials and is thinner than the stock exhaust.
