I'm tryin to decide what exhaust to go with on my 07 400. The FMF looks awesome but I know the HMF is very popular. These are the 2 slip ons that are right in my price range...

Anyone have much experience with the FMF PowerCore4? I've listened to sound clips on YouTube and it appears the FMF sounds better, but maybe that is due to the quality of cameras being used for the clip. I want something that sounds very deep and throaty.

Go with an Hmf. You will be much happier. Trust me;)

FMF:macho

I hate HMF. In my opinion they sound raspy and crappy, have normal gains that every other pipe have, and everyone and there mother has one.

The ONLY HMF I like is pipeless's duals.

I got the Hmf slip on and i love it gots a deep crisp tone way better than fmf pipes and rcm and pipes like that. Hmf best slip on there is. Ya alot of ppl do have them because they are the best. If you can affored more het a yoshimura they are the best if you cut them down and make them a shorty like my friend did!

While I highly disagree about the HMF, I will agree on the yoshimura. When they aren't cut they sound absolutely amazing, crisp, and responsive.

If you want some added power save up and get a full system. I swapped a slip on for a full system and jetted and added an K&N open style lid and it is amazing at the difference. I know you said a slip on, but it if you are looking for power in the near future it may be worth the wait.

i personally hate fmf they are only good on 2 strokes, which is probly why dmc-400ex likes them soo much cause he rides a banshee, i have found that my full system and other hmf slip ons are sick, my full system sounds amazing, its deep and it roars when you want it to, the fmf is just like a stock pipe to me, it dosnt sound much better imo, the hmf looks nicer and has more potions and there reliable, and if you chip the pain you can send it in to be re-painted for like 10 bucks, i threw my fmf out and bought a hmf and it was the best decision i ever made

HMF. Can't beat the power for the price.
