I have two questions...

After the boy rides the quad for about an hour it starts having this issue.....

when he come to a stop the quad won't take off, it acts like the the rear break is on, but the axle spins freely. If I hold the rear of the quad up and feather the throttle it will eventually take off and rev. once i do this you can put it back on the ground and it takes off like it normally does with tires spinning. My question is, is this clutching or carb tuning. any thoughts would be appreciated.

The other thing that started happing this weekend is the spark plug wire started popping off. anyone have a picture of what they have done to hold it on?

Thanks!

Eric

zip tie the spark plug wire up to the frame so that you keep it out of the way from the Tie rod ends so they dont pull on the wire

Sounds like a tired torque spring....

The spring keeps the belt in low gear postion....

If the spring heats up and gets fatigued it will lose the ability to keep the belt in low geara dn give you a soft take off.
