I'm getting ready to tear into 2 400ex motors and do some work. While I'm at it I would like to get the motors looking good.

What is the best way to do this? I don't like the look of polished. Can I just paint this thing? I guess I could paint the cases, not the head. Anyone know whats the best thing to do. Have any pics of what you did?

Thanks.

just be ready for your boots to wear the paint off pretty quickly; unless you don't mind or want to touch it up often, i'd look into having it molycoated.

Dont paint. Get them powder coated. Color of your choice.

i couldn't tell you because i had a bunch of other things done at the same time, and my powdercoater cuts me major deals now.

there also is some thing called zoop seal i think, it looks good oneverything i have seen it done on. basically it goes on after polishing to keep the chromed look longer.
