Pappy, I started a new trx450r project and have a frame and subframe that could use some love.

The frame is cracked on the welds down by the foot pegs on both sides and up on a gussett the guy had welded in on the upper rails. It also has one broken bolt in the footpeg mount that needs to be extracted.

The subframe has a crack in the very back on a weld.

Can you have these cracks fixed and shoot both in Super White?

Let me know how much. thanks -Chris

Yeah it can be handled:p

The frame welds are no charge as log as they are just simple cracks. I cant realy price out the bolt extraction, could take 2 minutes to get out, could take an hour, but you know i will treat ya right.

I dont weld aluminum but I would geuss $10 to $15 for me to have it repaired, if they dont charge me I wont charge you etc.

To coat the frame and sub it will be $185

I might have a place near me that can weld the aluminum, I will find out if they can do it then just ship everything out to you.

I'll let you know when I get this thing packaged up and out to you, thanks Pappy -Chris

Uggh... Pappy, I took the subframe apart from the frame yesterday and the crack in the subframe was more than just a crack, it went all the way around and the sub is in two pieces right now... is this repairable?

It is snapped at the weld on the cross piece in the back.

Would you need to see pics?

Let me know if this is even worth trying to fix. Thanks -chris

Yeah pics would help. Ive had them repaired when they have been in 3 pieces:p Its up to you to decided whether a $35-50 repair is worth it or if you can find a used one cheap (i know they was pretty expensive new and used were bringin good money)

I will get pics to you tonight Pappy, I have nothing invested in the subframe so $30-50 isnt so bad.

Once you get the pics, let me know what you think. Thanks -Chris

Thats pretty ugly

Id say it can be repaired but would need some aluminum straps welded in to support it. If you have nothing in it then I personally would grab one off ebay or here etc
