I just bought a 32" LCD tv and I really think its time to pick up some equipment that will really make my tv show good picture. I have a Wii and PS2 and I think i wanna get a 360 but not sure where the best deals for them are. I think i may just get a microsoft refurb but I am still trying to figure out how reliable they are. Anyone know?

i love my ps3, its never gave me a lick of trouble and i experianced 1080p for the first time last night and was in awe of the quality of it.

the xbox i think would be a great system if they didnt break often, everyone and i do mean everyone of my friends that have had a 360, it has broke. i think for another hundred or two its worth getting the ps3, and you can still play your ps2 games.

well yea, both systems have backwards compatible issues now. Only the wii is flawless (one game doesnt play and its already a port from N64).

I want a 360 because the online is better than the ps3, more organized (it should be you pay for it) plus my friends all have it.

PS3 seems to be lagging on games. I've played metal gear guns of the patriots so much i have it memorized :D

also not being able to play my PS2 games seem like a rip since the
system is very pricey.

360 all day. Had mine for about 3 years and had no problems with it. Just keep it in a well ventilated area and you'll be fine

Look on craigslists in your area! Always a ton on craigslists.

I have a XBOX 360. Still not sure whether or not to keep my Samsung 32" 720P LCD or the Vizio 37" 1080P LCD. I know the Samsung has a better picture but its also nice having extra 5" of screen when I play driving games the steering wheel in front of me on the screen is just a tad smaller than a real one!

i got my 360 off of ebay for 170$, came with wireless controller, wires, and 20gig hdd, it was refurbed, had a RRoD after about 6 months, sent it to microsoft, they fix it for free, and they also compensate you for any XBoX live time you lost.

Bought mine from JDAUCTIONWAREHOUSE, they are constantly selling them.

Games I'd Reccomend

BattleField:Bad Company
Mirror's Edge
Call Of Duty
Left 4 Dead

bad company for sure, 20$ and people still play, very addictive, you must play online.

Vizio 37" BTW:cool:

i find it hilarious that people spend up to $100 for the same cable that can be had online for less than $5

Ive had my 360 since August and have had no problems. I keep it on a glass shelf and don't play it for hours upon hours. I think as long as you take care of it, it should last a long time. Online is great. I just started playing last week, and fell that $40 to play is well worth it. Just got Tiger Woods 2010 and getting ready to start playing it.

I've got both the 360 and the PS3. In my mind the only place the PS3 has a leg up is the Bluray player. The online is far superior on the Xbox and the controllers for the PS3 are awful. If there are games for both titles I always buy the Xbox version. In the year+ that I've had the PS3 I've only played Metal Gear Solid: Guns of the Patriots and Killzone 2.

The reason for the higher priced cable, mainly the monster cable, is the ammount of video bandwidth the cable can transmit. So for example a cheaper cable might not reach 720p while the expensive *** cable can reach over 1080p lol. Mainly the only reason for buying it.

But me being broke....i get that cheap cable :)

well from what i have researched the only difference is the insulation....lol. Oh well. All i know is the difference between composite cables and HDMI on COD WoW is HUGE! I remeber when me and my roommate forgot to switch teh video settings over to 720p....it was night and day. (all on a 2.50 cable..lol)

I've bought and been through to many monster guitar cables to buy anything else from them.

I still rock my PS2 though. I mainly use it for watching my Family Guy, That 70's Show, and Metalocalypse seasons :)

dont leave an image up there too long Plasma FTL when it comes to burning images into the screens. Great refresh rates and they are super cheap. LED TV's are by far the most amazing picture I have ever seen. They blow away the LCD and Plasma.

Picture in Picture is the shiz lol I have my screen split half the time either TV and PC or TV and XBOX 360. It makes (2) 20" screens. Since I bought the new TV I havent used my 15" LCD PC screen because its so much more conveinient to turn on the TV and rather than look over at the TV from time to time I can watch TV while typing right in front of me. I can now lay in bed across the room with it on full screen and see perfectly fine its like a laptop but multi purpose.

I have the 360. I play on a 20in. Acer computer moniter via a monster VGA cable, and a turtle beach headset. The clarity is amazing.

I prefer a smaller monitor due to the fact that they lag less than a bigger monitor.

All I play on mine is halo 3.

I have a xbox360 and I've had it since they came out.. I had the RROD once.. I sent it in and they fixed it, and it's been fine ever since. If something happens to this one I will just go out and buy the arcade model for $199. I really was thinking of getting a PS3, but I've heard a lot of things about the controllers and such but that could just be everyone's different opinion.

They have some games that are only for PS3 and games only for the 360.. I don't see that being a reason for me to buy a PS3.

Besides I have almost a 100 games for the 360 and if I bought the PS3 I will probably end up forgetting about my other console...

Xbox all the way..

Sorry but to the best of my knowledge this is not true. There is no difference between different HDMI cables except for build quality. It's all 1's and 0's.

I buy my cables off of monoprice.com. Very cheap and reliable.

Edit: And i use these cables for 1080P + Surround Sound

they do cost a crap load for shure. my 4ft one was like $50 but i guess 1080p is good enough:o
