Renewing plastics

anyone have a good method? mine are pretty scratched up and faded and id like to renew them as best as possible. I may actually have an auto body shop paint them. I know a good place that paints plastics so ive been thinking about it...but would wanna try and renew the plastics before anything. what products or methods work well for long time treatment, aka, no WD40 or PAM tricks, that lasts for 1 ride.

there is a kit that you can buy called plastic renew that works good but takes TONS of elbow grease and time to come out nice

you will probably end up hearing the heat gun trick too

i dont mend spending time and work to get it done as long as it pays off in the end. im not a fan of heating up plastics to renew them so tahts a no go
