I read on the mods thread that 400ex plastics will fit on a 250r with slight modification. I imagine that by saying this they were referring to the older style of plastics. Does anyone know if the new bodywork from the 400ex would fit on an 86 250r? I think that it would look sick.

Blasphemy!!!! No 4-pokes on 2 strokes!!!!!!! haha, I had to say it. Personally id put 250r fenders on a 400ex but thats me. Ive seen 400ex fenders on a 250r before, but it was the old style fenders. I know the fender mounts on the 400 didnt change between the old syle and the 05/06 style. Im not sure about the newest style though

Bert's right though. You're not doing your homework on the environment you're posting that question in. Most people here are kind of protective of the preservation of the 250R and if they're like me hate the cartoon bubblegum insect japanese, pink/red look on top of it. So don't get too mad at one guy or you'll have to get mad several more too.

I actually like the look of the '09 400EX plastic and was thinking of using it on my hybrid (if I ever get going on that again). I think what's appealing to me is the nose being a bit higher than what the trend has been over the past few years.

Thanks for looking that up pdx, but unfortunately that doesn't help, because I looked all that up already, I know how frustrated people get when you ask a question that has been posted already. The reason it doesn't help is because noone in any of those threads even mentions 2009 400ex plastics. Just want everyone to know that the reason I'm considering putting new plastics on is in order to preserve the original stock plastics on the mint 250r I recently aquired.

Sorry if I've offended anyone here, It's just frustrating to ask a question and have people assume that because you only have a certain amount of posts that you don't know anything, or that you haven't done your homework for that matter. I know there are a lot of knowledgable people on this website, so thats why this question is posted here.

BTW I may only have a few posts but I've been looking at this website for at least 8 years now, since it was strictly EXriders, not ATVriders, talking mostly about 400ex, 250x, 300ex, and 250rs. Anyways thanks again for what help you can give me.
