well i just got back from the dunes and there was a banshee with a gsxr 1100 engine that got up competiton hill in 2.5 seconds flat it was giving nice banshees half a hill head start then slotering them does any body know where i can get a nice street bike engine 600cc or up for a good price if so post here because i want to go that fast

One of my Riding Buddies has a Yamaha Warrior frame with a Yamaha 750 four cylinder in it that was modified for mini-sprint car racing . Its Scary fast and the sound it has is like nothing I have ever heard . He did have it on E bay but I dont know if it sold . If you would like I can check for you . I know its a wicked machine . I will ride anything but this thing was scary fast . He has trailridden it in the past .

You must be talking about the SanDragon Banshee with the GS1100 motor punched out to 1500cc's???? It is one of, if not the fastest quad in the world,,,it will go the 300 in 3.5 seconds!!! That thing has 4 44mm Lectron carbs on it,,,on GAS,,,,Wonder what it would do on alky??:D

Thats really fast. I have a video of "Crankinstien" I think its a 750cc tripple 2-stroke. It was draging up this huge dune so fast, a blink of an eye and it was gone ;)

the fastest quad i ever saw had a huge snowmobile engine in it and nitrous and tons of other crap. it smoked an R-1 with ease. i'm not sure what was all done to it or the motor but i'll find out later tonite when my friend gets on..he knows all about it.

ok got some info. the guys name is tom hill and his quad is a polaris with a rotax 780 twin running on methanol and nitrous. according to my friend its the fastest quad in the world right now. from what i saw i don't really doubt it. he was barely on it, just three quick blips of the throttle and he was done the track in no time. he can do the 800 foot in 4.5 seconds. thats freakin insane fast! he can do 300 feet in 2.8 seconds at 103 mph.

chad while i trust you and i know my friend has been known to exxagerrate once in a while i highly doubt what he said was too far off. i saw this quad in action my self and it did have nos and it didn't use gas so i doubt my friend would lie and tell me it uses methonal when it really uses something else. i really don't know what to think cuz i know your really experienced. i'll see if i can get more details on this thing.

Well you CAN run Meth and NOS together but you will actually lose more power than if you just ran meth alone. Meth will cause the NOS to crystalize and it wont do any good for making power! Going 800ft in 4.5 seconds isnt unbelievable, its impossible!!! Unless you are in a jet fighter(with a running start) it cant happen!! I think the 300 in 2.8 can be done, but only on pavement with slicks on it and a wheelie bar!!!! While there is no doubt his quad is probably rediculously fast, the numbers he gave you are products of his imagination!!!

If you do a little mathematics, you can see that to go 800ft in 4.5 sec you would be going roughly 240mph at the 800ft mark. If my quad went 240mph, I seriously doubt I would ever try it out!!!

chad your a smart man. the 300 foot time i said i am pretty sure was recorded on pavement cuz when i saw him it was on grass and he could not control that thing barely it was all over. thats why he only blipped the throttle 3 times because it was nearly out of control. even tho he barely got on it he had no problem smoking everybody there. anyways there is another event coming up in the spring and i'll be there and i'll go up and ask him about it if hes there wich he should be and get the facts straight.

Steve Mille's banshee is definately fast. It has one of Angelle Savoie's ex-pro stock bike motors in it. 250hp :)
I have a video of Casper (my LT250r/GPZ600R ninja swap) WASTING Steve big time! Well.... um.. Mille's bike stalled, so that's why Casper won... but hey, a win is a win! hahahaa

Z-King, I had to cut the top tube and bottom frame rails. Then fabricate a new top brace to fit the carbs between and bend new bottom frame tubes to fit around the motor. The hardest part for me was sorting through the wiring harness and making the electonics all work. I think a hyabusa would be cool to do not sure how the engine mangment system would work though. My strong point isn't electical enginering that is why I went with the carburated cbr motor. As far as price for mine I would like $20,000.00.

Straight cut gears, which means you hold the throttle WFO and shift it. No clutch, except for taking off. You basically just shift for the whole run. Think how fast you could shift through 5 gears without using the clutch or letting off the throttle. I can hit 4-5 gears on my EX with a stock tranny.

Mille has a push button air shifter (which I think is why he bogged racing my bike, hit the next gear by accident).
One of the cool things about street bike engines is they have a broad powerband so you only go through a couple gears. With my LT600R I launch in second and go through the end redlining 4th, just 2 shifts.

He does have an aif shifter and a lockup clutch,,which means his clutch has no slip in it!! he has a shift light that shows him when to shift,,,he drops it at 9,500RPM at the tree, then shifts into 2nd at 11,500RPM,,,,yes thats right, he only goes through 2 gears in the 300ft!!! Thats crazy!!!
