gearing for 09 450 X MX with mods,,,

Just wondering what you racers are running on your 09's for gearing? I have the stock 14/39 but it seems like I am shifting a lot more than I should have to. I am wondering if with the BRP racing mods I am geared a little too short. I was thinking of going with the 15 tooth front. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Craig

Im running that gearing and love it. i use 2nd 3rd and 4th alot. LOL

I ran into Cody Miller here at a local track a week or so ago. He answered all my dumb-*** questions..lol. I asked him what he ran...13/37 or 38.

I tried the 13/37, not right for me, I want to try the 15/39. I just don't think the motor will pull it.

So try 14 37. A touch taller than where your at and not quite as drastic as 15 39. 15 is to much front sprocket in my opinion.
