Hey -

I have a quick question about a remote starter model name LA Z Start #la3200-2a

Its on a 90s ford explorer

Its on and all wired beside 1 wire which i have no idea where it goes.

3 wires come from the main unit under dash to under the hood one green, one brown, and one blackish (idk if colors count or not)

Black one is wired to a wire comeing from the distributor, brown runs to what looks like by the headlights, and the other green one is not hooked to anything. Is this a ground? 12V?

Any ideas?

The remote start for my blazer and my dads truck has the same wires it seems like. Ours came with a button that you attach under where the hood closes so that it can tell whether the hood is open or not. If the hood is open it wont start with the remote start. Did it come with some sort of button?

Yeah, mine had the hood pin, too. We never installed it, though.

If it's for the hood pin and you're not using that, no need to ground it, just don't hook it up.
