400ex to 450r

I'm not sure if this has been talked about, but I am wondering if my aftermarket arms, steering stem, axle and carrier from my '02 400ex would bolt onto a 450r. I have pondered moving up to the 450 but do not want to spend the thousands of dollars to make it ride like I want it to. Any thoughts or knowledge would be great. Thanx!

i know the aarms wont fit for sure.im not sure about the steering stem.ive heard of people putting the 450 rear end on an ex so you could probly swap a 450r for an 400ex one but i think youd have to use the whole rear end

The arms are the expensive part. They look almost identical, but I have never measured them. Thought about it when I was at the honda shop but I did not have a tape. lol

there are a bunch including one that was just posted in the last day. The rear stuff fits for the swingarm but the fronts dont. I doubt the steering stem will fit either, i ma not real sure on that. The arms are too long or something so you would have to move the mounting points and everything for the shocks and the arms. the swingarm needs everything as far as i know, there is something they do with the carriers but i think the 400 one is a bit longer so it would hang out on both sides. steve
