450r swing arm?

is it true that you can put a 450r swing arm onto a 400ex, and if it is, does it add length?

if i recall 06s and up do add lenght.
04 and 05s do not.
both will bolt up but i THINK they require a few things. hopefully someone more knowledgable will chime in.

as far as i have ever read about them the whole 450r setup has to be used. this would include the brake and carrier and everthing else. i guess that is about it anyway though lol. I have seen something about using a 400ex carrier or something but i am unsure what it was. steve
