Can anyone tell me how and where the little black rubber hose thingy inside the carb is suppose to go? I know I must not be putting it together right because the float will get stuck open and pour gas.

I don't remember a little black hose in my carb........... I just had it apart a week ago. Maybe the hose does not go inside the carb?

Ummm... I don't recall a hose inside mine... but mine is older too.

Go to motosport.com and just pull up the parts diagram for your machine. Then look at the exploded view of your carb.

I guess it aint suppose to be in there. I put it together without it and it started up and it dies after running for a few minutes now it wont start again.

You should invest in a Clymer manual. Mine paid for itself the first time I tore my carb apart and had an "extra" piece when I went to put it back together, lol.

Get a pic of the part in question and I'm sure one of us will be able to tell you where it goes.

I fixed it guys. I guess someone had it in there before and it threw me off. I took it out and everythings fine. The float was sticking but I ended up fixing that problem so finally my re-jet is complete.
